Sky Pond, The Loch, and Timberline Falls via Glacier Gorge Loop — RMNP

@cblumenthal

This is a LONG day if you’re coming from Denver, but boy oh boy it does not disappoint. Plan for 11.5 miles and 2,500ft of gain. This route is very similar to the Four Lakes Loop, except it takes to Sky Pond, the Loch, and Lake of Glass. You'll also get to check out several of Rocky Mountain National Park's most popular destinations: Nymph Lake, Dream Lake, Lake Haiyaha. Timberline Falls, Glacier Knobs, and Alberta Falls. You can backpack it and stay between The Loch and Sky Pond at the Andrews Creek wilderness campsite, but make sure you make a reservation in advance. Don’t forget your wag bag either. RMNP requires timed entry reservations so make sure you have one and that it’s Timed Entry+ Bear Lake. The parking lot at the trailhead fills up fast, we got there at 6am and it was almost full.
