NATURE'S PLAYBOOK

There’s a reason it’s called the Enchanted Forest…I felt like I was in a Disney princess movie but replace the nice tulle dress with some scraped knees and sweat. This is a beautiful loop in Golden and managed by Jefferson County Open Space. The loop is about 6 miles with 1,200ft of gain. The trail takes you through the foothills and woodlands of the park. You kind of get it all on this hike, wildflowers, foothills, forest. It’s a popular trail so you’ll likely run into a few people. Jefferson County has a designated use schedule with even calendar days reserved for bike access only and odd calendar days reserved for hikers and equestrians. Pups are allowed but make sure they’re on a leash.
