The Bridal Veil Falls Trail is a 2.1-mile out-and-back hike that follows Bridal Veil Creek up to the base of Colorado's tallest free-falling waterfall at 365 feet. The trail passes two smaller but stunning waterfalls on the way up, each with deep pools — a welcome cool-down on a summer day. The trailhead begins at the Idarado Mine parking area at the east end of Colorado Ave, and while the road alongside is open to hikers, the trail itself is a far more scenic way to take in the canyon. Plan for about 1.5 hours and wear sturdy footwear — the terrain is rocky and can be slippery near the falls.
